Andrew Sean Greer har skrevet fem skjønnlitterære bøker, deriblant best-selgeren The Confessions of Max Tivoli som ble kåret til årets beste bok av San Francisco Chronicle og Chicago Tribune.

Han har fått prisene Northern California Book Award, California Book Award og New York Public Library Young Lions Fiction Award, O. Henry Prize for kortprosa og stipender fra National Endowment for the Arts og New York Public Library.

Han bor i San Francisco og Toscana.
